- Hi,
-
- I hope someone out there is able to help me. I have a structural problem
- with Multitech modems (MT2834ZPXI) when dialing into our modem pool of
- Microcom deskporte FAST. Other brands of modems (Dynalink, Microcom,
- Zoom, Tornado, etc) show no problem. I'm talking V.34 connections here.
-
- The symptoms are that whenever the connection is at < 28.8, the Multitech
- will 'freeze' after just a few seconds/characters. When the connection
- is at 28.8, everything works fine.
-
- I've talked to Multitech and they refer me to Microcom. The support
- guys from microcom tell me that there is a structural problem with the
- Multitech when connecting to any modem with the Rockwell chipset. This
- problem has to do with a failure to retrain.
-
- Can you help me out?
-
- Thanks,
-
- Aloys Roes
